ELIZABETHTON — Elizabethton put up five runs in the fourth inning on its way to a 9-2 Upper Lakes Conference baseball victory over Volunteer on Thursday at Northeast Community Credit Union Ballpark.
Peyton Johnson, Gage Treadway, Ethan Meier and Cade Russell had RBIs in the frame.
Wesley Shankles had a solid start on the mound for the Cyclones, allowing five hits and two runs over seven innings while striking out six.
Johnson went 3-for-4 with a triple, two RBIs and three runs scored to lead Elizabethton, which got a pair of RBIs from Treadway and Russell.
Ethan Smith led Volunteer, going 2-for-3.
Tennessee High 5, Unicoi County 4
BRISTOL, Tenn. — Gregory Harris hit a three-run homer in a five-run fourth inning to rally the Vikings.
Brayden Blevins struck out 10 in five innings before Andrew Dingus finished the last two innings for the tight save.
The Blue Devils’ Valentin Batrez cranked out his seventh homer of the season, taking over the Northeast Tennessee lead.
Sullivan East 15, Unaka 0
BLUFF CITY — The game lasted only three innings after the Patriots ran away from the Rangers.
Jake Witcher, Corbin Dickerson and Tyson Mitchell each had two RBIs for East, which drew 10 walks. Conner McCormack pitched three innings, striking out seven and not allowing a hit.
Wise Central 7, Union 2
BIG STONE GAP — The Warriors built an early seven-run lead, then coasted to the Mountain 7 District victory.
Logan Sartin went 2-for-3, doubled and knocked in two runs from the leadoff spot. He also pitched four innings, overcoming seven walks for the victory. Robbie Wilson shut out the Bears over the final three frames, yielding no hits.
Union managed only two hits and committed six errors.
Richlands 6, Virginia High 2
BRISTOL, Va. — Drew Simmons and CJ Earls each had a pair of hits for the Blue Tornadoes in a big Southwest District road win.
Brody Jones and Lucas Whitt were the only Virginia High players to notch multiple hits.
Abingdon 4, Bluefield 1
BLUEFIELD, W.Va. — Cole Lambert and Jack Ferguson each had two RBIs for the Falcons in a interstate road win over the Beavers.
Lebanon 26, Castlewood 2
CASTLEWOOD — The Pioneers rapped out 20 hits and took another game from their Russell County rivals.
Dagan Barton tallied four hits for Lebanon, two doubles and two singles.
Lebanon put up 14 runs in the third inning. Jake Stamper, Seth Buchanan, Barton, Nathan Phillips, Jacob Crabtree and Chance Parker all had RBIs in the inning.

Dobyns-Bennett 7, West Ridge 0
KINGSPORT — Julianne Tipton threw a shutout to guide the Lady Indians to a much-needed Big 5 Conference win.
Tipton lasted seven innings, allowing four hits while striking out seven.
Hannah Frye, Tipton and Hailey Porter all managed multiple hits for the Tribe. D-B secured the victory thanks to six runs in the fifth.
Natalie Moore led West Ridge with a 2-for-3 day.
Daniel Boone 4, Science Hill 1
JOHNSON CITY — The Lady Trailblazers took over first place in the Big 5 with their second straight win over Science Hill.
Maggie Hillman notched the win for Boone, giving up one run and six hits over 4 1/3 innings. Maci Masters was going 3-for-3 with an RBI.
Jayden Salts and Madi Holstein each had two hits for the Lady Hilltoppers.
Tennessee High 12, Elizabethton 3
BRISTOL, Tenn. — Trailing 3-1, the Lady Vikings exploded for 10 runs in the fifth inning when the Lady Cyclones’ defense unraveled — making five errors in the frame.
Mac Newport had two hits and three RBIs to lead Tennessee High. Rylee Fields also had two hits and Kaylie Hughes recorded two RBIs.
Fields went the distance in the circle, allowing eight hits with no walks and five strikeouts.
Ember Jensen went 3-for-3 for the Lady Cyclones. Maely Ingram added two hits.
Union 11, Wise Central 7
NORTON — Megan Day banged out three hits in five at-bats, Kylee Castle clubbed a two-run home run and Union got past Wise Central in Mountain 7 action.
Addison Toney and pitcher Ava Collinsworth each turned in 2-for-4 efforts, both scoring twice. Castle accounted for two runs of her own and Lindsey Roberts drew three walks on a 1-for-1 day.
Emily Sturgill went 3-for-4 to lead the Lady Warriors and Taylor Cochran finished 2-for-4 and scored twice. Bayleigh Allison ripped a three-run homer.
Abingdon 8, Ridgeview 4
ABINGDON — Iyana Smith went 4-for-4 and Kendall Yates and Sydney Nunley each drove in three runs in the Lady Falcons’ Mountain 7 win.
Smith’s day included a pair of RBIs, Yates went 3-for-4 with a double and two runs scored, and Nunley came through with a 2-for-3 showing.
Alyssa Lindsey, who doubled, and pitcher Hannah Dillard added two hits apiece. Dillard went the distance, yielding two earned runs.
Ridgeview led 3-2 before Abingdon’s five-run fourth inning. Maddie Fleming went 2-for-3 and Caiti Hill 2-for-4 for the Wolfpack.
Rye Cove 20, J.I. Burton 14
CLINCHPORT — Mackenzie Hood was in the zone for Rye Cove, rapping out six hits in the Cumberland District victory.
The Lady Eagles took the lead for good with five runs in the fourth and seven runs in the sixth.
Rye Cove piled up 18 hits on the day. Hood, Lexie Rhoten, Elisabeth Rollins, Gracie Turner, Olivia Edwards and Kourtney Sluss each collected multiple hits.
The Lady Raiders tallied 15 hits with Jordan Mooney, Kenzie Franklin, Kinley Taylor, Kari Durham and A’nyah Hollinger all finishing with multiple hits.
Richlands 12, Virginia High 0
BRISTOL, Va. — Arin Rife pitched a no-hitter for the Lady Blue Tornadoes, striking out 17.
Richlands racked up 12 hits, getting multiple base knocks from Alyssa Lee, Kira Vance, Rife and Taylor Webb. Lee went 4-for-5.

KINGSPORT — Maddox DeVinney peppered the net with three goals and the Indians rolled.
Lucas Park and Gavin Farmer also scored, and Grayson Hammond totaled three assists for Dobyns-Bennett (10-0-3).
Volunteer 5, West Greene 4
CHURCH HILL — In a match filled with ups and downs, the Falcons scored four unanswered goals to come away with a nonconference win.
The Falcons fell behind three goals to start out. After Volunteer scored, the Buffaloes immediately went back up three goals.
Elijah Rogers scored his first goal of the year and Cameron Cox netted three goals and an assist. Dawson Dykes added a goal and an assist.
Virginia High 6, Richlands 1
RICHLANDS — Brothers Patrick and Prince Poku each recorded a hat trick for the Bearcats in a Southwest District win over Richlands.
Both of the brothers also had an assist.
Gage Coleman, Aquemini Martin, Jackson Trent and Josh Worley accounted for the other Virginia High assists.
Union 3, Wise Central 2
APPALACHIA — Brayden Wharton netted two goals and Christian Fannon had the other goal along with an assist for the Bears.
Asher Whitt had one assist as well and Malachi Jenkins made six saves in goal for Union.

APPALACHIA — Isabella Blagg racked up two more goals for the Lady Bears in the Mountain 7 win. Peyton Davis and Emma Hemphill had the other two goals for Union.
Hemphill also had an assist.
