The 17,000-square-foot facility is more than double the size of its old home and is capable of housing 180 animals, with isolation rooms for both dogs and cats, dedicated adoption spaces, an educational area for animal care and training, larger workspaces for employees and a 1.2 acre dog park on the rear of the property.
Food City and Dietz & Watson teamed up to donate a truckload of hams and groceries to Second Harvest Food Bank of Northeast Tennessee.
This year’s program kicked off Nov. 4 and continues through Dec. 1. During that time, Food City customers are invited to make a $1, $3 or $5 contribution as they check out. A full 100% of the proceeds raised benefit local hunger relief organizations.
