Lately in several letters published by the Times News, writers seem to have the opinion that increasing taxes on major corporations instead of on middle-income citizens is a good plan in the Democratic agenda.
Don't they realize who pays the taxes that are levied on corporations? Corporations are in business to make a profit. Taxes on businesses have to be treated as a business expense, and to make a profit, prices have to be high enough to cover all business expenses including taxes. Politicians who brag that they are taxing rich corporations instead of us citizens are deceiving us. Corporations do not pay taxes; they pass them on to us as their customers.
