The Vision will be open Saturday at 5:30 p.m. for fun and fellowship.

Oak Grove Baptist Church, 311 Cypress St., Mount Carmel, will host Phillips and Banks in concert Sunday at 6 p.m. Admission is free.

Fourth Saturday singings have started again at Cedar Chapel Church. Interested groups can contact Vicki Harris at 423-754-7454 or Nancy Quillen at 423-416-2002. The next singing will be held June 26 at 7 p.m. Scheduled singers for that night are Disciples of Christ and The Stone Mountain Band.

Services

Gravley Hill Central Baptist Church in Duffield, Virginia, will hold a service Saturday at 6 p.m. with Pastor J.E. Mauk preaching.

First Presbyterian Church, 100 W. Church Circle, Kingsport, will hold worship services at 8:45 a.m. and 11 a.m. Sunday with Dr. Mike Shelton preaching.

Clinch Valley Church in Eidson will celebrate 51 years Sunday with a homecoming service. Forever Thankful will sing, and Pastor Darrell Thacker will preach. Church will start at 10:30 a.m., and there will be a covered dish meal afterward.

Speers Ferry Church will have Gary Gilliam preaching at the 11 a.m. service Sunday. Dial-A-Devotion: 276-940-1206.

Patty Odum and Sounds of Praise will sing and Rev. James Galliher will preach at the homecoming service at Duncansville Christian Church on Brumley Gap Road in Abingdon, Virginia, on Sunday at 11 a.m.

Lynn Garden Evangelical Methodist Church will have Rev. Earl Miller preaching at both services Sunday.

Jack McCracken will preach at Durham’s Chapel Freewill Baptist Church on Sunday at 6:30 p.m.

Revival

A revival featuring Jimmy Toney and Shaun Lewis will be held at Tabernacle of Praise Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 10 a.m. The church is located at 2055 Granby Road.

VBS

Vacation Bible school for ages 2 to teens will be held Saturday from 1 to 6 p.m. at Liberty Baptist Church, 3005 W. Carters Valley Road, Church Hill. There will be games, inflatables, crafts, food and a Bible lesson.

Decorations

Decoration Day for Pleasant Hill Cemetery, 13385 Kingsport Highway, Chuckey, will be Friday, Saturday and Sunday. There will be no luncheon this year. There will be a brief open air meeting of the Cemetery Association members at 2 p.m. Sunday near the rear entrance of the church.

The annual Hensley Cemetery Decoration Day will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Big Cut Baptist Church in Gate City, Virginia. Music by Mike and Dottie Lane. Church service will be led by Denny Mauk. COVID protocols will be followed, and no food will be served this year. For more information call Thomas Hensley at 423-571-4625.

Beulah Community Cemetery, Beulah Church Road, Kingsport, will observe its annual Memorial Decoration Day on Sunday, June 13. A brief business session will be conducted at the cemetery at 2 p.m. Contributions for maintenance and upkeep may be given to Wayne Olinger, Anna Sue D. Community

Great Commission Church will host its annual yard sale and fish fry on Saturday from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. at 1249 Chestnut St.

Elizabeth Chapel United Methodist Church, 1041 Elizabeth Chapel Road off Hwy. 394 in Bluff City, will hold a yard sale Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Vermont United Methodist Church, 1817 Bloomingdale Pike, Kingsport, will host a free monthly community breakfast Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. Serving biscuits and gravy, grits, scrambled eggs, cereal, apples and bananas, coffee, orange juice and milk. No donations.

Hope Helps TN will host its monthly yard sale on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. This sale is located off West Stone Drive, near Allandale Mansion. Turn beside Walgreens on University Avenue, then take the first left driveway into the shopping center.

LampLight Theatre will present “Damascus Road” June 4-6 and June 9-13. Show times are Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights at 7 p.m. with Saturday matinees at 2 p.m. and Sunday matinees at 3 p.m. Admission is $12 for adults, $7 for students and free for children 5 and under. An outdoor community “Super Saturday” summer celebration is being cohosted by Believers Church of Kingsport and Bethel Presbyterian Church on June 12 from noon to 4 p.m. at 1593 Warpath Drive, Kingsport. There will be free boxed lunches and door prizes for families, a playground and inflatables for children and youth, and live gospel music by The King’s Messengers, Phillips and Banks, Young Song, and Dan Moneyhun and Friends.

Gray United Methodist Church provides a free meal for the community on the first and third Thursday of each month. Drive up between 6 and 7 p.m., and a meal will be brought to your car. The church is located behind Gray School and beside the Appalachian Fairgrounds. The church pantry is open on Mondays and Fridays from 10 a.m. until noon for those who may be in need of food. You can drive up to the front of the church, where someone will greet you

and then bring a food bag to your car.
