Phillips and Banks will perform in a concert by the park Sunday at 10:30 a.m. to celebrate Providence Church’s 21st anniversary. The church is located in Church Hill behind Food City.

First Presbyterian Church, 100 W. Church Circle, Kingsport, will hold worship services at 8:45 a.m. and 11 a.m. Sunday with Dr. Mike Shelton preaching.

Speers Ferry Church will celebrate homecoming Sunday at 10 a.m. Gary Gilliam will preach and the Crystal River Boys will sing.

Oak Glen Baptist Church, 2836 Yuma Road, Gate City, Virginia, will host special services Sunday at 10:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. with Evangelist Greg Lentz preaching.

Calvary Freewill Baptist Church will have singing by Jonathan Hand on Sunday at 11 a.m. and singing by the Tipton Family and preaching by Chad Tipton at 6 p.m. The church is located at 965 Fordtown Road in Kingsport.

Lynn Garden Evangelical Methodist Church will have Rev. Earl Miller preaching at both services Sunday.

Clinch Valley Church in Eidson will have morning and evening services Sunday with Pastor Darrell Thacker preaching at the morning service and Vanus Scalf preaching at the evening service


Memorial Day Tent Crusade Jubilee with

Evangelist Dr. Ralph Sexton will be held Monday and Tuesday at 7 p.m. nightly at Oakland Avenue Baptist Church, 2823 E. Oakland Ave., Johnson City.

The Greeneville Tent Crusade will take place through June 4 at 3124 W. Andrew Johnson Hwy. Services are scheduled to begin each evening at 7 p.m. There will be preaching by Evangelist D.R. Harrison and music from The Nelons, The Inspirations, Ricky Atkinson, The Allens, The Elkins Family, The Tabb Family, The Horn Family, Frank Thacker, Of The Day and Aaron Butler.


Ross Camp Ground United Methodist Church will host the annual Memorial Weekend “Meet and Greet” at the RCG Cemetery. A tent will be set up near the cemetery, and water and snacks will be served. Church members will welcome families and friends as they come to place flowers on graves of loved ones. The event will be held on Saturday from 1 until 4 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend. The annual Hensley Cemetery Decoration Day will be held on Saturday, June 5, at 10:30 a.m. at Big Cut Baptist Church in Gate City, Virginia. Music by Mike and Dottie Lane. Beulah Community Cemetery, Beulah Church Road, Kingsport, will observe its annual Memorial Decoration Day on Sunday, June 13. A brief business session will be conducted at the cemetery at 2 p.m. Contributions for maintenance and upkeep may be given to Wayne Olinger, Anna Sue D. Gray United Methodist Church provides a free meal for the community on the first and third Thursday of each month. Drive up between 6 and 7 p.m., and a meal will be brought to your car. The menu June 3 will be hot dogs, slaw, chips and dessert. Bring a friend or neighbor if you want, or just take a meal to someone you know who is in need of one or would enjoy one. The church is located behind Gray School and beside the Appalachian Fairgrounds. The church pantry is open on Mondays and Fridays from 10 a.m. until noon for those who may be in need of food. You can drive up to the front of the church, where someone will greet you and then bring a food bag to your car.

Elizabeth Chapel United Methodist Church, 1041 Elizabeth Chapel Road off Hwy. 394 in Bluff City, will hold a yard sale Friday, June 4, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday, June 5, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Great Commission Church will host its annual yard sale and fish fry on Saturday, June 5, from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. at 1249 Chestnut St.
