The Vision in Stanleytown, Virginia, will be open for music and fellowship on Saturday at 5:30 p.m.

The Kingsport Music Club will hold its annual Young Artists Recital and Senior Award Competition on Sunday at 3 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 100 W. Church Circle. Open to middle and high school students who participate in an established music program within the immediate vicinity of Kingsport. First place will receive $300, and second place will receive $150. Jack McCracken will preach at Durham’s Chapel Freewill Baptist Church on Sunday at 6:30 p.m.

Homecoming

Reservoir Road Baptist Church will celebrate homecoming on Sunday, Aug. 8, at 11 a.m. Dixie (Linda) Dixon will sing, and Lauren Maynard will be the violinist. Pastor Gene Mullins will preach.

Solomon’s Temple Missionary Baptist Church, located at 7659 Lone Star Road, will celebrate homecoming on Sunday, Aug. 8, with Dr. Tim Perry preaching and Heavenly Reflections singing. Lunch will follow in the fellowship hall.

Manville Church, 5450 Manville Road, Gate City, Virginia, will celebrate homecoming on Sunday, Aug. 8, at 2 p.m. A covered dish dinner will follow the service.

Cedar Chapel Church will celebrate homecoming Sunday, Aug. 22. Services will start at 10 a.m., and dinner will follow. There will not be an evening service that night.

Revival

Bible Way Baptist Church in Kingsport is hosting a homecoming revival with Don McCann on Aug. 15-18. The revival will begin with a homecoming service on Sunday, Aug. 15, and go through Wednesday evening, Aug. 18. (No Sunday evening service.) VBS

Grace Fellowship Church in Johnson City is throwing parties at four local parks on Saturday, July 31, and Saturday, Aug. 7. There will be free food, live music, games, inflatables for the kids, and more. Cornerstone Church in Big Stone Gap, Virginia, will celebrate its 19th anniversary on Saturday, Aug. 14, behind the church on the stage and on the grounds. Sixteen singing groups from around the region will be featured. There will

be hotdogs, children’s activities and prizes. The event will begin at 1 p.m.
