The Kingsport Police Department is attempting to locate a missing teenager, according to a Friday morning news release.
On the evening of June 27, Dakota J. Hamilton was reported as a missing juvenile to the KPD. He was last seen at approximately 9 p.m. that evening, on foot, in the 1000 block of Maple Street in Kingsport.
While there is no known reason to suspect foul play at this time, due to his minor age, investigators are making every possible effort to locate him, the news release states.
Hamilton is a 16-year-old white male with brown hair and brown eyes. He is 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighs 150 pounds, and he has a tattoo of three cards on right arm. He may be wearing a black T-shirt, long gray athletic pants and black and white shoes.
Anyone who may know his current whereabouts is asked to contact detectives in the KPD Criminal Investigations Division at 423-229-9429 or call Kingsport Central Dispatch at 423-246-9111.
