Each day, residents will be offered delicious food selections from an a la carte menu including a homemade feature designed around the preferences of The Blake residents. Breakfast features include Belgian waffles, fresh fruit, granola, yogurt, muffins, eggs and omelets. Chef Damien Cavicchi, a renowned professional chef from New Orleans, La., with Italian heritage, oversees dining operations for all locations and takes great pride and care in planning and coordinating delicious menu items for residents in all Blake communities.
Each month, the restaurant at The Blake will coordinate their menu with a theme chosen by the activities department. Residents and their families will enjoy special events monthly like a luau for the Hawaiian theme or a Carnival brunch for a Brazil theme. Traditional events like barbecues and seafood boils will also be featured. Residents at the Lafayette, La., location recently enjoyed over 300 pounds of crayfish with their family and friends.
The Blake will also have a coffee shop which features its own coffee blend called The Blake Blend, created by roaster Reve Coffee Roasters in Lafayette, La. Residents will enjoy sipping coffee and chatting with friends in the coffee shop.
If residents are looking for something to satisfy a sweet tooth, they can partake of delicious ice cream desserts at the ice cream bar.
How about evening entertainment? They will find the piano bar enjoyable.
