The church is inviting anyone in the community to its fourth annual Thanksgiving dinner, to be held on Thanksgiving Day from 3-4:30 p.m. Loyce Ardemagni, chair of the committee organizing the event, said 250 to 300 people enjoyed a sit-down meal last year, while more than 100 others picked up a to-go plate.
What to expect
Attendees will be served a free, traditional Thanksgiving meal featuring turkey, dressing, sides and rolls, Ardemagni said. Church members will provide the desserts, while Ballad Health will prepare the rest of the food and deliver it to the church.
Evergreen Home & Garden Showplace will supply landscaping materials to decorate the church before the event, Ardemagni said. Food City will donate florals and will partner with Ballad Health to provide take-home gifts for each guest.
“One thing we give to our guests when they leave, we give them a little fruit bag; it’s got either apples or oranges in it,” Ardemagni said. “Food City provides all those bags … and Ballad provides the fruit.”
