The Isaacs to perform at Tribute to Veterans concert

KINGSPORT — Veterans, their families and the community are invited to enjoy an evening of bluegrass and Southern gospel music next Saturday.

Lighthouse Productions and Rainbow Motors are teaming up to present the 10th annual Tribute to Veterans concert featuring The Isaacs. Tickets are still available and can be purchased at a number of locations leading up to the event.

About the concert

The show will take place Nov. 9 at Ross N. Robinson Middle School, located at 1517 Jessee St. Doors will open at 5 p.m. and the concert will begin at 6.

The performers

The Isaacs are an award-winning bluegrass and Southern gospel music group based in Hendersonville, Tennessee. The group consists of mother Lily Isaacs and siblings Ben Isaacs, Sonya Isaacs Yeary and Rebecca Isaacs Bowman.

Over the years, The Isaacs have performed around the world and at several prestigious venues, including the Grand Ole Opry and Carnegie Hall. They have won multiple Dove Awards and have been nominated for several Grammys, according to a press release.

“The Isaacs have a unique style that blends tight family harmony with contemporary acoustic instrumentation that appeals to a variety of audiences,” the press release states. “Their musical style has been influenced by many genres of music, including bluegrass, rhythm and blues, folk, country, contemporary, acoustic and Southern gospel.”
