BIG STONE GAP, VA - Carolyn Kay Barnett, 64, went home to her Jesus on Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2019, after her battle with cancer.

She attended Faith Rock Church in Big Stone Gap and worked at The Country Inn for over 20 years, where she touched many lives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Audrey (Hicks) Wells; sister, Nila “Doodle” Morelock, Joan White and Linda Wells; and brothers, Tommy, Jackie, and Johnny Wayne Wells.

She is survived by her loving children, Rachel and Mark Jones, Jennifer Hall and Christopher and Elisha Barnett; grandchildren, Hope, Bre Anna, Trey and Kristen; seven great grandchildren; brothers, Troy and Maxine Wells, Jake and Liz Wells; sisters, Teresa Fisher, Gail and Hagan Davis; and a host of nieces and nephews.  Special thanks to Stacey Bishop and Chris Barnett for their loving kindness and devotion.

The family will receive friends from 11am to 1pm Friday, Nov. 22, 2019, at Gilliam Funeral Home in Big Stone Gap.  Services will follow at 1pm with Pastor Hagan Davis officiating.  Burial will follow at Laurel Grove Cemetery in Norton, Va.
