Patsy Charlene Gilley

KINGSPORT - Patsy Charlene Gilley, 73, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday (August 23, 2019) following a brief illness surrounded by her loving family.

Charlene was born on October 15, 1945 in Big Stone Gap, VA to the late Charles Monroe & Clara Madeline (Hartsock) Kiser.

Charlene was the co-owner and operator of Tri-State Complete. She was a member of First Christian Church where she loved her Sunday School Class. She enjoyed being in her cabin in the mountains and was very devoted to her family, always putting them first. Charlene was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend; she will be greatly missed.

In addition to her parents Charlene was preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Phillips and Kay Bulmahn.

Left to cherish her memories are beloved husband of 55 years, Gene Roger Gilley; two sons, Tim Gilley & wife Rhonda and Wayne Gilley & wife Melinda; daughter, Kristy Sawyer & husband Chip; five grandchildren, Tanner, Brennan, Taylor, Dylan, and Abby; brother-in-law, Dick Bulmahn; special church friend, Janet; her church family, several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday (August 27, 2019) from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at East Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. in the chapel of East Lawn Funeral Home Pastor David Mullins officiating.

Charlene will be laid to rest on Wednesday (August 28, 2019 in the Garden of Everlasting Life II at East Lawn Memorial Park. Committal services will be private. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
