KINGSPORT - Virgil Harrell, 91, of Kingsport. Departed this life July 12th, 2019. He was born June 5th, 1928, in Hawkins County to Drew and Mintie Harrell.
He was owner/operator of Harrell’s Service Center in Weber City, VA for many years.
In Addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife Vola; son, Drew; daughter, Patricia Bond; grandson James bond; brothers, Fred, G.M. and Kenneth Harrell; sisters, Norma Brickey and Thelma Elkins.
He was a member of Vermont United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his loving wife Brenda of the home; son, Henry (Heather) four grandchildren; brother Troy (Merle) Rogersville, TN; nieces and nephews, and lifelong friend John Kane.
Visitation will be from 12pm to 2pm on Sunday, July 14, 2019, at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport, with services following with Pastor Ben Byrd officiating. Music will be provided by Linda Patrick.
Burial will follow at the Kenner Cemetery in Rogersville, TN. Honorary pallbearers will be his Hardee’s breakfast buddies, Larry Patrick, Sr. and John Kane. Pallbearers will be Larry Patrick Jr; Leyton Patrick, Douglas Smith, Wayne Mooneyham, Brian Harrell, Larry Rogers, and Justin Hammonds.
