Jerry “Wayne” Fulkerson

CLARKSVILLE - Jerry “Wayne” Fulkerson, 60, of Clarksville, TN passed away on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at his home.

Wayne was born in Kingsport and was the son of the late Robert Wayne and Emily “Jean” Johnson Fulkerson.

Wayne faithfully served in the United States Army for 20 years and retired as a Master Sergeant.  He was a veteran of the Dessert Storm Campaign where he was awarded the Combat Medic Badge.  Over his military career he served in the 1st Cavalry Division at Ft. Hood, TX and the Tennessee National Guard.

He received a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health at East Tennessee State University.

In addition to his parents, he is proceeded in death by his aunt, Erma Johnson Bray and uncle, Fred Bray of Kingsport.  
Survivors include: his wife, Joyce Fulkerson; sons, James “Jimbo” Fulkerson and wife Sheena, David Fulkerson and wife Kristin and Brandon Fulkerson; daughter, Amanda Fulkerson; grandchildren, Kelsie, Dawson, Camryn, Jaden, Jax, Jennah, Makayla, Matthew, Noah and Katie; sister, Cathy Cole and husband Chris; nieces, Tara and Brooke Cole; best friend, Henry Hernandez; and special friend, David Piggott; many special aunts, uncles and cousins. Throughout Wayne’s journey in life he met many people and had many friends.

The family of Wayne Fulkerson will receive friends from 11 AM until 12 PM Friday, July 13, 2018. The funeral service will follow at 12 PM. Pallbearers include: James Fulkerson, David Fulkerson, Brandon Fulkerson, Dawson Fulkerson, Greg Johnson and Chris Cole. Please meet at Mountain Home National Cemetery Friday by 12:50 PM for a 1 PM committal service.
