The 40th annual Rogersville Heritage days kicked off Friday night as it always does with hot rods, hot chili, and cools kids. The Hale Springs Inn hosted the Great Chili Cookoff where master chef brewed their secret recipes all after until 5 p.m. when the public was invited to sample. Meanwhile judging was underway in the First Baptist Church parking lot for the Children’s Costume contest, followed by the Children;s Parade on Main Street. Hot on the heals of the Children’s Parade was the annual Cruise-in parade where a reported 154 hot rods and classic vehicles made a pass down Main Street before looping back around and parking for the final Rogersville Cruise-In of the year.
