According to a press release from the Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility, Steven Carl Frazier was reinstated earlier this month. Frazier, who has practiced law in Northeast Tennessee for more than 35 years, was temporarily suspended on Jan. 17 for failing to respond to the board regarding a complaint of misconduct.
Tennessee Supreme Court rules provide for the immediate suspension of an attorney’s law license in cases where the attorney fails to respond to the board regarding misconduct complaints. On Jan. 24, Frazier provided an appropriate response to the board and filed a petition to dissolve the temporary suspension, the release states.
Four days later, the board filed a response with the court noting no objection to Frazier’s petition.
“It happened, we got it taken care of and I’m back in the saddle,” Frazier said.
