Update: Person of interest in custody in suspicious death

UPDATE: Jeffry Chase Caldwell was located earlier this afternoon and is in custody on a vehicle theft warrant and an assault warrant, according to Capt. Andy Seabolt of the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office. More information will be released as it becomes available.
UPDATE: The vehicle that police earlier said Jeffry Caldwell could possibly be driving was located by the Tennessee Highway Patrol in Unicoi County, according to Capt. Andy Seabolt with the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office.
At this time, investigators still need to speak with Caldwell; however, they do not know what he is driving or where he is. Anyone who has information to share regarding his whereabouts is asked to call (423) 279-7330.
UPDATE: Investigators have information to believe that Jeffry Caldwell may now be in a 2015 Volkswagen Jetta, silver in color, bearing Tennessee registration 6R91K8, according to a 10:27 a.m. release from the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office.
KINGSPORT – The Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a person of interest in a suspicious death case.
The incident occurred at 622 Gravely Road in Kingsport. As part of the ongoing investigation, investigators are searching for Jeffry Caldwell, 31, of the Gravely Road address.
Caldwell is described as 5’11’’, 185 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes. He could possibly be in a white 2018 Nissan Rogue, bearing Tennessee registration J6464Y.
