As of Monday, Michael Jeremiah Franklin, 22, of Rogersville, was being held in the Hawkins County Jail without bond pending arraignment in Criminal Court on Dec. 13.
Franklin was named in an Oct. 1 Hawkins County grand jury sealed indictment charging him with two counts of rape of a child and one count of aggravated sexual battery. He was arrested Friday on that warrant at a residence in Morristown.
All three counts pertain to the same 12-year-old victim and are alleged to have occurred in December 2017.
The first rape charge pertains to crimes alleged to have occurred Dec. 20 through Dec. 25, 2017; and the second rape charge pertains to crimes alleged to have occurred Dec. 25 through Dec. 26, 2017.
Rape of a child is a Class A felony punishable by 15-25 years if found guilty.

Kenyah Dequell Boyd-Cook, 31, 732 French Mill Road, Dandridge, for two counts of delivery of Schedule II narcotics within 1,000 feet of a child care agency.
Robert Alan Raynor, 48, 11295 Lonesome Pine Trail, Bulls Gap, for introduction of contraband (meth) into a penal facility.
Michael Shane Lowe, 39, 103 Choctaw Lane, Rogersville, for aggravated burglary and theft over $2,500.
Travis Scott Gilliam, 32, 266 Fork Branch Road, Rogersville, for two counts of violation of sex offender registry and violation of community supervision for life.
