KINGSPORT — City police issued a press release Tuesday afternoon in regards to an elderly woman who was reported missing earlier in the day.

Louise P. McCracken, 79, was last seen at about 10:45 a.m. as she walked in the area of Brookside Pharmacy, 1901 Brookside Drive in Kingsport. Police say she has dementia and is considered to be endangered.

McCracken is described as approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall and 179 lbs with short brown hair and brown eyes. She was most recently known to be wearing a white shirt with red stripes, blue jeans and sandals.

Though last known to be walking, police say it is also possible that McCracken was picked up by her adult daughter, Marcella Devane. She reportedly drives and early 2000s model GMC Jimmy SUV.

Anyone who sees McCracken or has information on her whereabouts is asked to call the KPD at 423-246-9111.
