Staff report • Apr 2, 2019 at 3:17 PM

KINGSPORT — Police are seeking tips on the recent theft of packages and security equipment from a Kingsport courier company.

As previously reported in the Times News blotter, the incident was called in on March 20 at Courier Express, 3313 East Stone Drive. Overnight, someone entered through an unlocked bay door, then made away with several packages from the post office.

The exact contents and values of the parcels were not known, but all of the packages were returns en route to their manufacturers. While on scene, the suspects also removed the security system's control panel and monitor, preventing video from being immediately accessed.

On Tuesday, the Kingsport Police Department released images now obtained from the incident. Anyone with information on the suspects is asked to contact KPD detectives at (423) 229-9429 or Central Dispatch at (423) 246-9111.
