Two men wanted by Church Hill police in rash of forgeries

CHURCH HILL — Church Hill police are looking for two men wanted for forgery, identity theft, and in one case, a successful theft.

Scott Eric Sammons, 40, is wanted by the Church Hill Police Department for forgery, identity theft and theft under $1000.

Police said Sammons and his accomplice, Dylan Matthew Roupas, 41, allegedly attempted to pass numerous fraudulent checks in the region. Sammons was successful, but Roupas was declined at a bank in Church Hill.

Sammons was able to make off with $985.44. If you have any information on his whereabouts, please call CHPD Criminal Investigations at (423) 357-3487 ext. 3 or [email protected] Sammons is believed to be in the Washington County, Tenn., area.

Roupas is wanted by the CHPD for attempted forgery, attempted identity theft and attempted theft under $1,000.

Roupas was declined at a bank in Church Hill. He too is believed to be in the Washington County, Tenn., area and may have a beard.
