Kingsport police attempt to identify “cloned” debit card suspect

KINGSPORT – City police are seeking help identifying a suspect in a “cloned” debit card case, in which the suspect made a fraudulent purchase at Roadrunner Market, according to a news release.

On Aug. 29, police say the male suspect made a fraudulent debit card transaction for a purchase of nearly $200 at Roadrunner Market, located at 1312 South John B. Dennis Highway in Kingsport. At the time of the purchase, the original card was still in the possession of the victim, according to the release.

The suspect was captured on video inside the store during the transaction, as well as while leaving the store and getting into a black sport utility vehicle.
