If you’re not yet in the holiday spirit, a number of upcoming events in downtown Kingsport will have you feeling festive in no time.

Start off with Saturday’s Downtown Kingsport Christmas Parade and tree lighting. Activities begin downtown at 3 p.m. with family fun and photos with Santa, followed by live entertainment at 5 p.m. The parade begins at 6 p.m., directly followed by the tree lighting ceremony on Church Circle.

On Sunday you won’t want to miss the Church Circle Advent Open Houses. They will take place from 2-4 p.m. at First Baptist Church, First Christian Church, First Presbyterian Church, Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, St. Paul’s Episcopal Church and First Broad Street United Methodist Church.

The open houses are free and feature self-guided tours of downtown Church Circle sanctuaries adorned for the holiday. There will be music and light refreshments at each location.

And the Church Circle Living Nativity will take place on Dec. 15 from 5:30-8 p.m. on Church Circle in downtown Kingsport.

Drive through or use the walking path for the living nativity scene on Church Circle, where you will see biblical characters in costume and live animals celebrating the arrival of baby Jesus.
