ROGERSVILLE — Nearly every downtown Main Street parking spot had taken within an hour of the beginning of Saturday’s Rogersville Bike Nite, and bikers were already utilizing side streets.

That was before a contingent of approximately 40 bikers expected in from Kentucky had ridden into town.

The exact number of motorcycles participating in the third annual Rogersville Bike Nite wasn’t available by press time, but it was expected to meet, if not surpass last year’s count of 300.

A day of motorcycle fun in Rogersville began at noon Saturday, with the Of One Accord ministry’s 19th annual Toy Run, which had more than 100 participants. The annual fundraiser benefits the ministry’s Christmas for the Children program.

Bike Nite Saturday evening featured show-trophies, live music, a lot of polished chrome.

Everything from brand new showroom bikes and choppers to custom designs and antiques.
