The Tri-Cities Boating Club will conduct its third, and final, Tennessee Safe Boating Course of the year on Tuesday, May 22 and Thursday, May 24 at Northeast State Community College in Blountville.

This course and the associated permit that comes with passing the course are required for all boat operators in Tennessee born after Jan 1, 1989.

The two-night course will be taught by qualified members of the Tri-Cities Boating Club and take place each evening from 5:30-8 p.m. in room L-106 at Northeast State. The exam will be administered on Thursday after completion and final review of the course material.

The course is free and includes book, instruction and test administration. Pre-registration is not required but is encouraged because of limited seating. (Web search on TWRA East Tennessee Testing Locations, Passcode NES.)
