The Humana Community Location, according to a news release, is open to the public Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
“It’s a place to make friends, have fun and engage in healthy activities,” the release noted. “Humana membership is not required for most activities. The center offers fitness classes, cooking demonstrations, health and wellness seminars, social activities, crafting courses and more. For Humana Medicare members, SilverSneakers classes are offered to encourage physical fitness and social interaction.”
The release pointed out a Humana employee is available at the location every day (Monday-Friday) to help with claims questions; provide customer service assistance (for example, getting a new ID card); discuss Humana’s Medicare health plans and prescription drug plans for people 65 and over; and discuss dental, vision, and other specialty products for any individual. In addition, visitors to the center soon will have the option to speak live — Skype-like — with a Humana employee via a virtual kiosk for customer support.
Local residents can call (423) 794-5060 for more information about the center.
