Staff report • Sep 28, 2019 at 8:30 PM

KINGSPORT — Tickets are now on sale for the second annual BrewHaHa.

What is it?

A night of pizza, beer and comedy.

“We are so excited to bring this event back to Kingsport and to our region,” said Dana McMurray, Kingsport Chamber membership events director. “The event was sold out last year, and we had so many requests to do it again. I encourage everyone to get their tickets as soon as they can as we anticipate a large crowd.”

When is it?

The popular event will take place Friday, Oct. 18 at 6:30 p.m. at the Urban Synergy building, 223 Commerce St., in downtown Kingsport.

How much does it cost?

The price to attend is $40 per person. Each ticket includes pizza and two drinks.

Tickets can be purchased at the Kingsport Chamber of Commerce, 400 Clinchfield St., in downtown Kingsport, or by contacting Nora Davis, Kingsport Chamber events and communications coordinator, via email at [email protected] or by phone at (423) 392-8827.

Tickets can also be purchased online at www.KingsportChamber.org.

Tables are also available to reserve. Cost for a table is $100 in addition to the tickets.

Who is performing?

Comedians Josh Sneed, Arvin Mitchell and Keith McGill will take to the stage to entertain the crowd with their acts that have been nationally recognized.

After working as an opener for the likes of Ron White, Mitch Hedberg, Daniel Tosh and Dave Chappelle, Sneed filmed his own 30-minute special for Comedy Central. In 2008, he placed second in Comedy Central’s annual Stand-up Showdown competition, earning him a deal on Comedy Central Records.

Mitchell is the former co-host of BET‘s Club Comic View, and he has been featured on Kevin Hart’s “One Mic Stand,” Tony Rocks “The Funny Spot” as well as entertaining U.S. troops abroad. Nominated as one of NBC’s Stand Up for Diversity top comics, Mitchell continues to tour colleges, clubs, cruise ships and churches.

McGill is popular internationally on Royal Caribbean Cruises and has appeared on BET and CMT and is a “Bob and Tom Show” favorite, as well as a much sought-after entertainer for corporate events.

And what about the food and beer?

In addition to an evening of comedy, attendees will be able to partake in various pizza selections from multiple local restaurants and pizzerias and enjoy a selection of domestic and craft beer.

“We have another fun and entertaining night planned with an impressive lineup of absolutely hilarious comedians, incredible pizza from several of our pizza restaurants and a great selection of domestic and craft beer,” McMurray added. “We are most grateful to all of our sponsors and attendees for making this event possible.”
