Marsh has been the largest hometown supplier of blood and blood products in Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia for 70 years, serving 17 medical facilities, four cancer centers and four air rescue aircraft. This move will add nine more medical facilities to the list of ones Marsh currently serves.
Julia Davis has worked at the Marsh Regional Blood Center for more than 50 years, serving multiple generations of blood donors throughout the Tri-Cities region. Marsh held a retirement party for Julia on Thursday with her official retirement taking place later this year.
“One out of every three units of blood we collect comes from a high school student. That number is a remarkable testament to the giving nature of our young people in this region,” Marsh Director Don Campbell said.

KINGSPORT — Two Church Circle churches are gearing up for a little friendly competition at Marsh Regional Blood Center. First Broad Street United Methodist Church and First Baptist Church of Kingsport will square off in a blood drive next Tuesday and Wednesday.
