A motion naming Church Hill EMS the primary ambulance service for Hawkins County failed in committee Thursday. Instead, all three services were recommended for approval by the County Commission when it meets later this month.

The HCSO said Thursday two other campers at the campground were damaged aside from the three that were burned. One had its cover ripped, and door forced open, and both had gasoline pour in them, but were not ignited.

Sometime during the 1962-63 school year at Rogersville High School a 17-year-old Jim Caswell was allowed to skip one period of class every day for a couple of weeks while he painted the team mascot "Warrior" at center court of the gym.
