KPD searches for felony theft suspects

Kingsport police are seeking tips on a pair of felony theft suspects: one who allegedly walked out of Walmart with $1,500 in merchandise, another who reportedly scammed a woman with "roofing repairs."

Two area building contractors are now the subject of a criminal investigation after allegedly building a $30,000 room addition so poorly in Mount Carmel late last year that it literally had to be torn down before it fell down and hurt someone.

This past year 957 neonatal abstinence syndrome cases were reported in Tennessee. Of those 2014 cases, 527 were supervised patients using suboxone, subutex, or another legally prescribed narcotic.
