KIDS COUNT ranking moves Tennessee up, just slightly

Tennessee has moved up three spots, from 39 to 36, in the annual KIDS COUNT report, which measures how well states do with children in four categories: economic well-being, education, health and family and community.

Chloe Cook has been volunteering at the Bridge Home No-Kill Animal Rescue since the first of the year, coming a couple of times a week, walking the dogs, making bandanas and sewing beds for the cats when they're adopted.

Most adults may have some kind of surgery in their lifetime, possibly later in life. But young Solomon, at the tender age of almost five months, has already had multiple surgeries, including two eye surgeries and surgery on his tiny stomach.
