Tweetsie Trail officially opens with dedication and ribbon cutting

Not a minute after the ribbon had been cut by Johnson City and Elizabethton leaders and trail organizers to officially open the Tweetsie Trail, dozens of people pedaled and walked down the new recreational venue.

It was so obvious. Why not teach him the concept early? As a kid, I'd never learned about finances. As a teen, I racked up huge credit-card debt before I'd ever heard of a credit score.

90% of D-B grads took ACT; 80% of South grads took 'mandatory' exam

At D-B, 392 of 435 2014 graduates took the ACT, while at South 182 of 223 graduates took the ACT, according to figures provided by the two school systems.
