The revival meeting that the Rev. George Willis held in the old Ervington Primitive Baptist Church building was a great success. From this revival, Midway Baptist Church was formed 50 years ago.

Josh Cutshall, who was diagnosed with non-verbal autism in 2000 at the age of 3, competed in his first running event at the Crazy 8's road race during Fun Fest. He completed the five-mile course with his father, Shawn, in 47:44.
