The NCAA Men's Basketball Rules Committee has recommended reducing the shot clock from 35 to 30 seconds among a series of changes aimed at speeding up a game that has reached historic lows in scoring.

There are several insect hatches that fly fishers look forward to in our region - like the black caddis on Watauga that has recently peaked and faded. But sulphurs are a summer staple on both rivers. Local anglers are already getting into them.
