On Oct. 12, during Rogersville’s annual Heritage Days Festival, the local SAR will sponsor a grave marking program at the Alexander Cemetery on North Depot Street a couple of blocks from the festival on Main Street.

KPD charge three with assaulting neighbors

One suspect was allegedly caught vandalizing his neighbor's car, swung a pair of pliers and ended up in the hospital. The others reportedly chased people down the street while armed, following a request to, "stop selling pills."

Home sweet hummingbird home: ‘Feisty’ Rufous breed now spending winters in Tri-Cities area

Spending summer in the Pacific Northwest and Alaska, and normally wintering in Mexico, the Rufous has the longest migration route of all U.S. hummingbirds. But recently, the Rufous’ route has brought it to Northeast Tennessee.

An elderly Kingsport man involved in a three vehicle accident in Rogersville Monday morning remained hospitalized at the Holston Valley Medical Center in fair condition as of Tuesday evening.
