Vickie Clark received a three-year grant two years ago from the University of Tennessee to start offering quilting classes to children. “Every year I have mothers asking me to teach their daughters and sons how to sew and quilt.”

Tribe bowlers book tickets to state

The Dobyns-Bennett bowling teams booked their ticket to state Monday with impressive sectional wins at Warpath Lanes. The boys easily outpointed Heritage 23-4 and the girls routed Gatlinburg-Pittman 25-2. The TSSAA meet begins Thursday.
