COEBURN - What took nature untold millennia to create will be feted with a 25th anniversary on Saturday near Coeburn. It was 25 years ago the Guest River Gorge Trail opened to hikers and bikers after decades of use as a railroad spur.

"They had only been sluicing it up until Tuesday ... that was the first day they actually generated from Wilbur with four tubes," said Ben Walters at Eastern Fly Outfitters in Piney Flats, who took the opportunity to float the river with his father.
