Deputy fatally shoots man in Tennessee hospital

The Associated Press reports the shooting happened early Friday. Officials said the 23-year-old man was in custody and had been taken to the Rhea Medical Center for treatment for an injury at about 2 a.m.

Daniel Guy Bickley of Bristol, Va., was indicted in U.S. District Court in Greeneville on a 72-count indictment. The charges include conspiracy to distribute Schedule I drugs, distribution of Schedule I drugs (19 counts) and money laundering (52 counts).
