A Hawkins County man arrested Friday afternoon for allegedly brandishing two handguns in public while under the influence of drugs reportedly told police four men were under his home trying to drill through his floor.

Town of Pound Police Detective Perry Ratliff took into tender custody a newborn baby boy early Sunday. He found the mother-to-be in the parking area of the old Golden Pine Restaurant, lying in a cold puddle of rain.

A $37,200 grant will be divided among 21 different Hawkins County school teachers and/or programs. The Utrust "mini grant" program helps teachers purchase a variety of instructional equipment and materials for the classroom.

GREENEVILLE - A Bristol, Tenn., man who downloaded hundreds of pictures and videos of child pornography over a two-year period has been sentenced to 10 years in federal prison for the crime.
