The city of Kingsport will consider banning window and door border lighting in non-residential areas of town later this summer. The new ordinance would include all types of lighting neon, LED and incandescent.

Police were called to Holston Valley Medical Center after staff observed two young children "crawling around in the hallway....eating food out of the floor." Upon arrival an officer located their mother "passed out" in a chair.
