Exchange students from other countries have attended American high schools for years. But Dobyns-Bennett High School now has an exchange teacher, a native Chinese educator who has taught English to Chinese students.

KINGSPORT — Two children rescued from a burning residence by Kingsport firefighters Sunday morning have been transferred to the Shriners Hospital for Children in Cincinnati for treatment of “extremely critical” smoke inhalation injuries.

A Virginia couple were arrested last week in Rogersville after allegedly being found “passed out” in a vehicle containing a mobile meth lab as well as a variety of drugs and paraphernalia including a marijuana grinder that looked like a handgun.
