Georgia sheriff charged in shooting incident

Victor Hill and Gwenevere McCord were the only two people inside a 3,800-square-foot home when McCord was shot in the abdomen. Hill called 911 to report the shooting, but refused to cooperate with officers called to the home Sunday night.

A Church Hill man who reportedly fired a gun seven times during an altercation with his parents last October was sentenced to probation Tuesday in exchange for a guilty plea to misdemeanor assault.

Teen nabbed in two 100 mph chases gets 15 days in Hawkins

A Kingsport teen who led police in Hawkins County on a 100 mph chase only weeks after a similar Kingsport chase in which he admittedly "smoked" police, was sentenced to 15 days in jail Tuesday on his Hawkins County charges.

Three people were arrested after an indoor marijuana farm was discovered in a mobile home that burned Monday night in a remote section of Hawkins County near the Greene County line.

According to a Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency report, the boat the men were fishing from became swamped by the force of the water flowing over the dam near the TVA power plant.

A homeless woman has been arrested after allegedly walking along Fort Henry Drive with her two young children - both barefooted and smelling of urine and feces - then attempting to bum rides with an account of being "on the run from police."
