Salmonella found in Georgia ConAgra plant

WASHINGTON - Federal inspectors found the strain of salmonella behind a recent food-poisoning outbreak at the ConAgra Foods Inc. plant that made the tainted peanut butter, the Food and Drug Administration said Thursday.

JOHNSON CITY - Sen. Rusty Crowe, R-Johnson City, said Friday that legislation aimed at banning smoking in restaurants would get his vote, although a measure to raise the state's cigarette tax wouldn't if it reaches the Senate floor.
