Kingsport Carousel Project hits homestretch

More than 300 volunteers and woodcarvers have spent countless hours carving and painting animals, refurbishing the carousel frame and drafting plans to open a traditional carousel adjacent to the Kingsport Farmers Market.

NWS forecasters caution that exactly when temperatures will fall below freezing remains uncertain. As of Wednesday morning, the rain turning to a wintry mix was expected to begin sometime after midnight, continuing until about 4 p.m. Thursday.
