James Alan Shelton has been the lead guitarist for Ralph Stanley and the Clinch Mountain Boys for 19 years. “I don’t get to do solo performances very often, so this is really a rare opportunity for me, and I’m thrilled to get to do it in Kingsport."

Frank Theatres is on track to re-open the movie theater in the Kingsport Town Center on Friday, a company official said Wednesday. The first show Friday morning will be the new Disney animated movie “Planes.”
