The kids had a great time at Kingsport Parks and Recreation’s Home School P.E. class Monday. The class met at the newly resurfaced tennis courts at Borden Park, where they had an introduction to tennis by pros Greg Lumb and Marley Woods.

WISE — The classes prepare adults to pass the GED (general educational development) test and compete in the work place. They are free of charge to adults who are at least 18 and not enrolled in public school.

KINGSPORT — About 800 fourth-graders got up close and personal with animal skeletons and skins, live animals, bugs and recycling this week. The conservation camp at Warriors Path exposed students to conservation-themed presentations.
