Wyoming decision on Yennie could come next week

The fate of three applicants seeking to head a Wyoming school system, including Sullivan County Director of Schools Jubal Yennie, may be decided during an Albany County School District One school board meeting on Tuesday.

A Sevier Middle School student was hospitalized Wednesday following an alleged assault at the school, and police have charged another student with simple assault.

A $37,200 grant will be divided among 21 different Hawkins County school teachers and/or programs. The Utrust "mini grant" program helps teachers purchase a variety of instructional equipment and materials for the classroom.
