The laptops would be used by students for three years, but KCS would keep the laptops an additional two years. John Payne said the plan is to purchase the laptops by the end of the year and have them in the hands of students sometime in early January.

KINGSPORT — The 9-year-old Adams Elementary students are one of 25 finalists in the Ben's Beginners Cooking Contest, as in Uncle Ben's Rice. They could win a $30,000 noise-reducing cafeteria makeover, along with $15,000 for their family.
