KINGSPORT — Kingsport Superintendent of Schools Lyle Ailshie received a more than 3.628 mean score out of a 4 on his overall school board evaluation this year, which is about a 91 percent approval rating.

Some schools in Tennessee and elsewhere now have policies that allow children with live bugs in their hair to return to class. Many nurses are no longer sending notes to other parents with kids in the classroom, alerting them to the possibility of lice.
