CHURCH HILL — Volunteer High School’s vocational building recently received bad marks during a fire marshal inspection due to some walls and doors that were installed after the facility was originally constructed in 1980.

ROGERSVILLE — It will cost Hawkins County Schools between $7,000 and $8,000 each school year to eliminate the annual $40 fee charged to teachers who keep refrigerators and/or microwaves in their classrooms.

ROGERSVILLE — Two wings at Rogersville Middle School haven’t had hot water in the restrooms for at least 15 years, and none of the bathrooms at the school have dispensers for toilet paper, paper towels or soap.
