Hawkins County BOE rejects one director of schools finalist

One of the Tennessee School Board Association's five recommended finalists for the Hawkins County director of schools post was a former principal who was demoted from his position two years ago by current Director of Schools Charlotte Britton.

Sullivan County Director of Schools Jubal Yennie could receive a boost in base pay of about $33,000 per year. However, that will only happen if he were offered and accepted the job to lead Wilson County schools in Middle Tennessee.
